The Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) is the leading organization in the U.S. promoting alternatives to the war on drugs. Since 2000, DPA has led the way in creating cutting-edge policies that treat drug use as a health issue, not a criminal problem, as well as leading a movement to fundamentally transform the direction of drug policy in the U.S. and beyond. Since 2016, DPA has worked in collaboration with the kratom consumer community to block attempts to criminalize kratom in the U.S. while promoting health and evidence-based policy approaches to regulating kratom.
The Law Enforcement Action Partnership is a nonprofit of police, sheriffs, judges, prosecutors, and other law enforcement professionals advocating for a new way of looking at the justice system and drug policy, employing innovative solutions and evidence-based best practices to prioritize community health and safety. LEAP works at the national, state, and local levels to support bold changes that will transform our failed justice system and restore community trust that has been undermined by bad policy, rooted in the War on Drugs.
The American Kratom Association (AKA), a consumer-based non-profit organization, is dedicated to protecting the rights of all Americans to legally consume safe kratom to better manage their overall health and well-being.
